Novox For Dogs Review

Novox is the generic version of Rimadyl and is used to treat the same issues that affect your dog such as joint disease, hip dysplasia, and arthritis. Since this is the generic version, it will work exactly the same as the regular name brand but will cost you much less.

This is great for those people that are on a tight budget but still want to help their dogs live a good healthy life. You should consult your vet about any negative effects that Novox might cause your dog, and be sure to follow their directions to the letter.

Novox For Dogs Review

Novox comes in a non-chewable tablet, so you might find it more difficult to get your dog to take it than you would with the flavored chewable ones. You can stick this tablet into one of their favorite soft treats, though, and they will have no issues taking the pill. Make sure that you have plenty of fresh water available for your pet as Novox has been known to cause dry mouth in some breeds. You should also give this tablet with food to help reduce any instances of upset stomachs or nausea.

Since Novox is a generic NSAID, you should make sure that you aren’t giving your dog other NSAID’s as they can cause severe health issues when combined. Discuss any and all medications that your dog might be on to make sure there are no interactions involved.

You should see if your dog is allergic to NSAID’s before giving them Novox as well. You can talk to your vet about how to test if your dog might have allergies to NSAID’s. Keep a close eye on your dog for any side effects that might include vomiting, problems urinating, slow or shallow breathing, dizziness, and lethargy as these could be fatal. If your dog shows any other negative signs, you should contact your vet immediately for medical attention.

Always keep this, and any other medicines, out of the reach of children and your pets as an overdose can cause other healthy issues including death. Follow all directions to the letter and consult your vet if you have any questions.

Our vet told us that we needed to get Rimadyl for our dog due to osteoarthritis. We called around to see how much it would cost and found that it was a bit more expensive than we could afford. It’s not that our dog doesn’t deserve the medication. She truly does, but we couldn’t afford to go that route. That is when we found out about Novox being the generic version of Rimadyl. Since it is so much cheaper than the name brand version, we were able to get it and our dog is doing much better now.

We found it rather difficult to afford the name brand Rimadyl but the generic version seems to work just as well. Our dog is suffering from arthritis, due to old age, and we were using Rimadyl for almost a year. The Rimadyl worked very well and, when we found out we could save some extra money by getting the generic Novox, we thought we would try it to see if there was any difference. So far, almost six months now, everything seems to be the same. We love our dog very much and would figure out how to get the name brand, but Novox works just as well as Rimadyl.

Since Novox is the generic version of Rimadyl, we decided to give it a shot for our dog. We had him on Rimadyl after he had to have surgery following an accident and it worked out very well. Now that he is getting old and is having a harder time getting around, we thought we would try the Novox to see if it worked as well. It has done wonders for him, so far. He can jump up and down off the bed now, which is his favorite place to sleep and has no issues going up and down the stairs anymore.
